Product Description

Triphenyl phosphate (TPP) is a white, odorless crystalline powder with slight hygroscopy. It is easily hydrolyzed to release phenol when exposed to moisture. It dissolves easily in organic solvents such as benzene, chloroform, ether, acetone, and ethanol, but is insoluble in water. TPP has good transparency, flexibility, antibacterial properties and can absorb ultraviolet rays. It also has advantages such as oil resistance, water resistance, good electrical insulation and good compatibility.

  • Application

  1. Mainly used as a flame retardant plasticizer for engineering plastics and phenolic resin laminates;
  2. Used as a softener for synthetic rubber, raw material for manufacturing trimethyl phosphate, etc.;
  3. Used as plasticizers for nitrocellulose and cellulose acetate, flame retardant plasticizers, fire-resistant solvents, nitrocellulose paints, synthetic resins, impregnating agents for roofing paper, and camphor substitutes in celluloid manufacturing.
  • Storage

Triphenyl phosphate should be stored in a cool, dry, light-protected and well-ventilated area. It should be kept away from moisture, water as well as flammable substances, oxidizing agents and heat sources. Common packaging options include 25kg/composite paper bag.
